Ella Fadale, #11

The Raptors FC defeated visiting Leroy SC in Sunday night's matchup by a score of 4-0. With the win, the Raptors take the sole possession of first place in the RDYSL DII standings.

Ella Fadale would open up the scoring in the first half. After winning the ball in the midfield, Fadale drove forward and combined with Abby Scanlan for a quick give and go to put Fadale alone in the box with the Leroy goalkeeper. Scanlan would get the next goal to double the lead. After a Leroy goal kick, Nikki Creasey would get the first touch for a long ball back through Leroy's box. Scanlan was able to run onto the crossed ball for a one time finish past the goalkeeper.

Fadale would once again open the scoring of the second half. Halee Passarell beat her defender to the endline, and put a great pass back through the box for Fadale to finish at the PK dot. Rounding out the scoring was Claire Squicciarini, with a free kick from 40 yards out that she sailed over the Leroy goalkeeper's hands.

Squicciarini, along with the rest of her back line of Lily Miller, Aly Knaak, and Aurora Serafin all played a full 90 minute effort to keep Leroy's offense at bay. Goalkeeper, Sydney Mulka, earned the shutout in net.

The Raptors next travel to #2 ranked Penfield Strikers on Wednesday July 13 for their only match up of the season.
