The Raptors traveled to Fairport on Tuesday night and came back with a 3-1 win.
Although dominating possesion from the start, the Raptors didn't get on the scoreboard until almost halfway through the first half. Claire Squicciarini earned an unassisted goal, after beating the Fairport defender for possession and making a smart timed run to get in the six yard box and slip one by the Fairport keeper. Olivia Radford would double the lead off an assist from Halee Passarell. Passarell tried to place a cross through for Nicolina Creasey, but it slipped by into the Fairport box. Radford continued her run and was there after the Fairport goalkeeper fumbled the ball, she took a touch wide away from the keeper and had an empty net to score on. Passarell would finish up the Raptors' scoring late in the half. Radford put a cross through and Creasey was able to get a touch to knock it further to Passarell, who put a quick one time shot in the back of the net.
The Fairport Flash were able to cut the Raptors' lead in the second half, putting one past goalkeeper, Sydney Mulka, but her and the Raptors' defense sood stong the rest of the game to keep Fairport at one.
The Raptors are back in action on Thursday 7/29, travelling to Livonia for a 6:30 kickoff.
